Made it!

Still not writing this directly on the blog/Internet, but thought I’d go ahead and write an update.

We are in Tokyo now.  After being awake (save a possible one hour nap on the plane), an incredibly long (though relatively short compared to how long it could have been) we are one flight away from our destination – Korea.

On the last flight, I watched a couple movies (Midnight in Paris; Something Borrowed), ate, looked at the People magazine that I had been saving for this flight, tried to sleep, and waited for the flight to be over.

The rest was written the morning after arriving:

Okay, we made it!  And we are so thankful that God placed some of our friends here before us so that they were able to welcome us into the country.

Danielle and Stephen were at the airport waiting for us which was probably sometime between 9:15pm and 10:00pm Friday night our time.  They got us all a taxi to take to our city and helped us get into our apartment.  Then we headed to the bus station (after finally catching a taxi) to find Leigh Margaret who had come to meet us; however, it wasn't quite as easy as all that.  She wasn't at the bus station.  Apparently we had just missed her.  It was about midnight at this point and, because we hadn't shown earlier, she had checked herself into a motel without knowing what else to do.  Turned out to be a pretty raunchy one so once we finally were able to get in communication on facebook and find out where she was, we rescued her!

Around 1 or 2 this morning, we enjoyed some food from a street vender right around the corner with all of our friends.  Our internal clocks were all messed up at that point so I'm not positive what meal that was but it was good.

Finally got to bed sometime around 3am (Almost 36 hours after waking up besides a total of about 2 or 2 1/2ish hours worth of naps) and slept for a few hours.  Even the rock hard bed was super comfortable at that point.

Goals for today:  

• Go to Home Plus and/or E-mart to get some things for house/food/cleaning supplies.
• Orientation
• Clean up and rearrange the apartment
• Party with co-workers this evening
